Experimental investigation of a CPVT collector coupled with a wedge PVT receiver

This paper presents an experimental investigation of a photovoltaic-thermal solar collector (commonly known as PVT) that generates both electricity and heat from the same gross area. PVT collectors, in theory, achieve higher combined electrical yields. Additionally, enables thermal coupling between PV cells transfer cooling medium. Electrical outdoor testing measurements have been performed on low concentration based parabolic reflector geometry with wedge receiver. Several experiments carried out presented, such daily instantaneous performance efficiency diagrams, well optical charts. Moreover, Incidence Angle Modifier (for transversal longitudinal directions) assessment has presented. Furthermore, overall loss coefficient 4.1 W/m2.°C attained.
